At the moment of installing the exhibit, the viewer will get an artist's interpretation of the events of the past year from March 28, 2008 through---- 2009. The artist will use the duration of the exhibit to re-interpret her life as an artist. By leaving the uncertainty behind, she will go back to her studio to record her thought, feelings, and journey in an online blog available for public viewing during the length of the exhibit. The artist will also keep a written diary/journal of her journey through the three months and into a revived creative year. This 3-month journal will become a permanent memoir and be included as an integral piece of the final exhibit. Visit Lauri's blog at www.ninetyonedays.net
My exhibit piece will be an artistic representation of my studio in its damaged state after the unfortunate events of a breaking and entering case that happened in March of 2008. The initial focal point of the exhibit will be the damaged door and the obvious estrctuio of the home's entryway. Visitors will be able to feel the emotion and sense of violation felt by the artist during the past year. This will be portrayed by a collage of written notes, journal entries, newspaper articles and other artifacts that may include damaged paintings, torn books, broken pottery, pieces of glass, mirrors etc.
